18th Century and Romantic Period

This period was a kind of explosion of feelings. Why do I say like this, because rationalism, science and questioning were basics of 18th century. Romantic period was reaction against rationalism. They got tired of live without feelings, and thus romantic period was started.
Description of nature was important and detailed.  And their writing still was "spontaneous overflow of feelings". That means is, they write what they are thinking that time.

Robinson Crusoe (II)

"Thus we never see the true state of our condition

till it is illustrated to us by its contraries,

nor know how to value what we enjoy, but by the want of it."

This quotation is from Robinson Crusoe, and we can understand that we should thank for our situation. If we experience opposite of the situation, and also if it is worse, then we can chose the situation that we are not pleased. We should enjoy with our conditions that we are living.

Robinson Crusoe

That week I didn't attend the lesson which the movie of Robinson Crusoe was watched. But I watched the movie, and when we think about that times, it is quite interesting. We can also talk about realistic figures, Daniel Defoe used real names, place names and date. It is also based on real life story.
