Victorian Period was quite long period. According to the my readings about this period, I found that there were some opposite opinions during the period. "prude and repressed" was quite important. We can easily understand it from the closing of furniture legs not to be suggestive. This knowledge is also interesting for me. Why did they think like this? I have so many questions in my mind because the modernization starts with this period, but still they thought men could affect this kind of things.
This period was also important to give some rights to women. For example, women got the right the vote, so the women's rights were so important.
The Victorian Age was also a period that England became a world power. There is a statement which explains the situation:
"The sun never sets on England."
